Tired of people bitching about Brave winning over Wreck It Ralph.
I’m sorry. We finally got a Disney movie with a female protagonist who’s presented with the option of marriage and decides “No, I’m not ready and I don’t need a man to happy.” She’s an ace in archery and horseback riding, and follows her instincts. Plus, we actually get a realistic and poignant mother-daughter relationship with significant character development. Not to mention the GORGEOUS Scottish landscape and most importantly, Merida’s hair (which deserves it’s own Oscar).
Wreck It Ralph was great and innovative, but come on. Brave was a real breakthrough for female characters and it deserves everything it gets.
